The general purpose of Winges Carpentry, Frequently Asked Questions ss to help provide information on our most frequent questions or concerns, however, the format is a very useful means of organizing information, and text consisting of questions and their answers and may thus be called a FAQ, regardless of whether the questions are actually frequently asked.
Most Frequently Asked Questions received by Winges Carpentry, are answered below. We update this section of our website on a frequent basis, so if you have a question, and do not see an answer here, we will be pleased to add it as soon as possible.

Do you offer Drywall Service?
Mostly just small repairs, but If I’ve made some major interior Alterations, changed walls, bathrooms or kitchens then I usually do the drywall Plastering.
Do you offer Painting Service?
One or two rooms or if I’ve made some major changes, where I’ve Installed new drywall. Outside, I have done lots of Exterior painting.
Can you Install Ceramic Heated Floors?
I do, but only electric based heated floors.
Can you Build a Maintenance Free Deck?
I do, there are many different composite materials on the market. Now for decks I am familiar with all.
Can you Install Roofing Shingles?
Sheds and garage roofs only and repairs to house roofs Shingles or Tin.
Can you do Electrical Work?
Very Minor work only, changing wall or ceiling fixtures plugs 1 for 1. I have a licensed electrician that does 80% of my work which is also required through building code/law.
Do you do any Plumbing Work?
Very minor work only, changing plastic pipe 1 for 1. I have a licensed plumber that does 90% of my work, which is also requried through building code/law.
Do you do any Masonry Work?
Yes, Re-facing Concrete steps, Parging, different types of formwork Small slabs and sidewalks.
What are your Business Hours?
We answer the phone during all times of the week and on weekends, but offically, my business hours are MON – FRI, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. What Services do you Offer?
Our renovation services vary widely. While Tim maintains a broad number of services, not all are listed on our website. As a result, if you don’t see a service listed on our website. Don’t hesitate to send Tim a quick message via our contact form to your left.
What Areas do you Service?
Winges Carpentry is conveniently located in Nanotik, Ontario and a short twenty minute drive south of Ottawa. We do service the immediate area and drive a reasonable distance to be of service for our other customers in regions such as Smith’s Falls. Do you offer Period Restoration Service?
I have been restoring historic structures and new construction into treasured contemporary homes, for a very long time. If you have a restoration project and need some help, don’t hesitate to let me know.
How Long have you been in Carpentry?
Tim has well over 30 (three decades) years experience as carpenter.
What Period Restoration Projects have you Completed?
I have worked and completed many restoration projects through out Ottawa and area over the last twenty-five years. These include, but are not limited to some of the following:
